Here’s a new video for a show I saw 15 years ago:
One of my more spectacular concert experiences happened 15 years ago, October 2, 2007. I had front row seats for Heaven And Hell, Alice Cooper and Queensryche and it was everything I could have hoped for.
The Sabbath guys were touring after recording three new songs for The Dio Years compilation. Alice Cooper’s most recent record was Dirty Diamonds and Queensryche had released Operation: Mindcrime II in 2006 but were about to come out with a covers record called Take Cover.
Heaven and Hell came out of the gates with “The Mob Rules” and it was a killer set of Dio-era songs the rest of the way.

Alice Cooper’s set was everything you would expect and it was my first time being that close for it so I came home with souvenirs and some fake blood.

Queensryche opened up with a short set but they hit some of their best-known songs as well as Welcome To The Machine from their upcoming covers album.
